The NIH Makers series continues with a feature on the NIBIB IDEAS lab, run by electrical engineer Dr. Tom Pohida. IDEAS is a go-to resource for NIH researchers looking to develop novel biomedical laboratory and clinical research enabling systems, instrumentation and methodologies.
Pioneering researcher and former NIH Director Dr. Francis Collins addressed the Clinical Center community in a recent Grand Rounds talk marking the CC’s 70th anniversary. His presentation surveyed the CC’s history of groundbreaking research and he also shared insights into its future challenges and opportunities.
NIH is working to ensure that everyone, including the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ+) community, can live authentically without prejudice or discrimination. Understanding the differences between sex and gender and the proper use of pronouns can help create a welcoming, respectful and inclusive workplace for sexual and gender minorities.
