FNIH, Noom Leaders Tour Metabolic Unit

Leaders from the Foundation for the National Institutes of Health (FNIH) and Noom, a tech platform that helps people reach their wellness goals, recently visited researchers in the Clinical Center’s Metabolic Clinical Research Unit to learn about their controlled nutrition and weight management studies.

Early-Career Investigators to Speak on Disease Prevention

NIH’s Office of Disease Prevention (ODP) will host a week of Early-Stage Investigator Lectures (ESIL) featuring the 2025 awardees, Drs. Nilay S. Shah, Julia Chen-Sankey and Michael Fang. Each will focus on a different prevention topic: cardiovascular disease, e-cigarette use and type 1 diabetes. Each lecture will take place via webinar, with Shah and Chen-Sankey presenting at 10:00 a.m. ET on June 4 and 5, respectively, and Fang presenting on June 6 at 2:00 p.m. ET.

Bhattacharya Visits Medical College of Wisconsin

NIH Director Dr. Jay Bhattacharya joined Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) President and CEO Dr. John Raymond, Sr. for the MCW President’s Speaker Series on May 2. Bhattacharya shared NIH’s vision at the quarterly series, which aims to advance diverse viewpoints of medical education and understanding of freedom of expression to engage in constructive exchanges of ideas and perspectives.
