ORWH Advisory Committee Meets

Dr. Janine Clayton, director of the Office of Research on Women’s Health, welcomed NIBIB director Dr. Bruce Tromberg to the 49th meeting of the advisory committee on research on women’s health. He discussed “Engineering and the Future of Women’s Health,” including advances in imaging to detect breast cancer.

Elizabeth Spencer, ORWH deputy director, also addressed the Oct. 23 meeting, which included presentations on maternal morbidity and mortality, a legislative update and an overview of ORWH’s strategic plan.
