NIH Observes Public Service Recognition Week

Collins holds sign about why he hearts public service.
NIH director Dr. Francis Collins shares pride in public service.

Each year the President and Congress designate the first full week of May as Public Service Recognition Week (PSRW) to honor those who serve as government employees.

With all of the challenges this past year, now more than ever, the amazing work NIH employees do deserves acknowledgment.

During May 2-8, you have an opportunity to share pride in your public service by participating in NIH’s social media campaign for Public Service Recognition Week. Here’s how it works:

Take a photo with your completed “I ♥ Public Service Because...” whiteboard template, which can be found on the NIH Office of Human Resources Public Service Recognition Week site at https://hr.nih.gov/about/events/psrw.

Post your photo on Facebook or Twitter using the following hashtags: #NIH, #PSRW and #Proud2ServeUSA. The #NIH hashtag allows NIH to find our employees.

If you have any questions about PSRW at NIH or to send your photo to be posted on NIH social media outlets, email NIHPSRW@nih.gov.
