Paul Shinn, a foundational member of the National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences (NCATS) and its Division of Preclinical Innovation (DPI), died on Nov. 17, following a traffic accident.

Alesha Holliday, director of NCI’s Office of Management Policy and Compliance (OMPC), recently retired after more than three decades at NIH.

Dr. Bruce Nisula, a longtime member of the intramural community who began his NIH career in 1971, died Aug. 30, after a long battle with cancer.

Dr. Cendrine Robinson has been selected as NIDCD’s first chief diversity officer. She joins NIDCD from the Department of Veterans Affairs, where she served as a scientific program officer and diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) chair.
