On Apr. 14-15, NIH will host its third annual meeting on the Human Placenta Project (HPP) at Natcher Conference Center. The HPP, a collaborative research effort to better understand the role of the placenta in health and disease, supports development of novel technologies to enable real-time assessment of placental structure and function throughout pregnancy. The meeting will attract a broad range of scientists and clinicians, including experts in placental biology and obstetrics as well as creative thinkers in biotechnology, imaging, data science and other arenas.
