Former Rep. John Edward Porter returned to NIH on May 9 for the dedication of an exhibit in the building named after him on campus, the John Edward Porter Neuroscience Research Center. Five years ago, the building opened with a symposium and dedication. The recent event unveiled a display case that briefly explains why the facility is named in his honor. Porter was joined by NIH director Dr. Francis Collins. The former congressman also offered brief remarks at the ceremony.
