NHLBI Hosts Event on Disease Management Tools for Underserved Populations

The National, Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute will host a virtual research and implementation workshop Apr. 14-15 to discuss barriers to—and opportunities for—improving heart, lung, blood and sleep health outcomes in underserved, low-resource and remote communities.

The slide also features the date of the event and several stock images, including a child reading in front of a computer, a masked health professional speaking to a patient and blood platelets.

The workshop aims to identify practical and affordable technology solutions for disease diagnosis and management in these groups, prioritize the ones that could have the greatest impact and determine the ones best suited for further research.

The event is available via NIH videocast and is free and open to the public. Learn more and register in advance, https://go.usa.gov/xsyeR.
