Dr. Diana Bianchi, NICHD director, accepts the 2019 Pioneer Award from the International Society for Prenatal Diagnosis at its annual conference in Singapore.

The award recognizes transformational research in prenatal diagnosis, leadership within the society and commitment to mentoring young scientists. Dr. Neeta Vora, a former postdoctoral fellow of Bianchi’s and now an NICHD grantee at the University of North Carolina School of Medicine, presented the award.
