Healthy Volunteers Needed
If depression has never been a problem for you and the fall and winter seasons do not affect how you feel very much, you may be eligible to participate in a research study. We are looking for volunteers with good mental health, 18 years or older. If you qualify, participation involves a 3-4-hour visit including questionnaires. Families Sought for Study
The NIEHS environmental autoimmunity group is enrolling families in which an adult or child meets criteria for rheumatoid arthritis/juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, systemic sclerosis or myositis and in which a twin or sibling of the same gender, who is within 47 months of age, does not have any one of these four illnesses or another autoimmune disease. Subjects may enroll at the Clinical Center or in their local doctors' offices. Patients remain under the care of their personal physicians while participating in the study. Malaria Vaccine Study Needs Volunteers
Healthy men and women ages 18-45, without previous history of malaria or receipt of a malaria vaccine, are needed to participate in a study on the safety and effectiveness of a new investigational malaria vaccine at Walter Reed Army Institute of Research in Silver Spring. Depression Study Needs Volunteers
If you currently experience symptoms of depression, you may be eligible to participate in a research study. Symptoms include sadness, losing interest in your activities and changes in eating and sleeping patterns. Interested volunteers, 18 years or older, may be eligible to participate. If you qualify, participation involves a 3-4-hour visit, including questionnaires. The study does not include treatment, but we provide referrals. You will be compensated for your time.
