NIH Toastmasters Mark Golden Anniversary
The NIH Toastmasters Club-3421 fosters leadership development and communications training through mentoring via weekly meetings. Recently the club celebrated its golden anniversary at a local restaurant.
The daughter of founding president the late Dr. Padman Sarma, formerly of NCI, gave the keynote speech. Current president Dr. Ashok Kulkarni of NIDCR presented Nalina Sarma with a plaque commemorating the event.
All are welcome to attend meetings, which are held Fridays on campus. In this inclusive environment, topics range from the “Fluorination Mechanism of Diaryliodonium” to “Mindfulness.”
