NIH Toastmasters Mark Golden Anniversary

Dr. Kulkarni presents plaque to Nalina Sarma
NIH Toastmasters Club president Dr. Ashok Kulkarni presents 50th anniversary plaque to Nalina Sarma, daughter of the club's founding president.

The NIH Toastmasters Club-3421 fosters leadership development and communications training through mentoring via weekly meetings. Recently the club celebrated its golden anniversary at a local restaurant.

The daughter of founding president the late Dr. Padman Sarma, formerly of NCI, gave the keynote speech. Current president Dr. Ashok Kulkarni of NIDCR presented Nalina Sarma with a plaque commemorating the event.

All are welcome to attend meetings, which are held Fridays on campus. In this inclusive environment, topics range from the “Fluorination Mechanism of Diaryliodonium” to “Mindfulness.”
